Achievements:
Kadin Taylor is an exceptional young sprinter from the Waitakere City Athletics Club, coached by Nuree Greenhalgh. His dedication, talent, and relentless pursuit of excellence have positioned him as one of New Zealand’s top young athletes. Currently ranked 1st in the U20 100m, 2nd in the U20 200m, and 4th in the U20 400m, Kadin’s success on the track is a testament to his hard work and determination.
Over the years, Kadin has amassed an impressive list of accomplishments. His breakthrough came in the 2021/2022 season when he won silver in the Auckland U18 100m and set the Auckland U16 record for the 100m with a time of 11.03. At the national level, he placed 5th in the U18 100m, demonstrating his potential at a young age.
The 2023/2024 season marked another leap forward in Kadin’s career. He clinched national gold in the 100m, 200m, and 4x400m relay, setting Auckland records in the process—clocking an impressive 10.76 in the 100m and 21.68 in the 200m. His success extended beyond New Zealand, earning a bronze medal at the Australian Nationals U20 and finishing 4th in the 200m. He was also part of the New Zealand U19 4x400m relay team that set a national record. Kadin’s standout performances at elite meets, including a 1st-place finish in the Sir Graeme Douglas International Meet B race and a silver medal in the Capital Classic Open Men’s 200m, showcased his ability to compete at the highest levels.
