Alexis Heckler is a competitive youth sailor representing Kohimarama Yacht Club and coached by Jenny Armstrong, competing under Yachting New Zealand in the Under-19 division.

Alexis has achieved strong results across national youth sailing competitions, particularly in the Starling class. She has recorded multiple podium finishes at major regattas including the Starling Auckland Championships, North Island Championships, Junior Sail Auckland, and the Sir Peter Blake Regatta. Her consistent performances have also contributed to success in team events, including winning the mixed team title at the 29er Nationals.

At club level, Alexis has earned numerous honours with Kohimarama Yacht Club, including Starling Club Champion, Female Starling Club Champion, and Overall Club Champion, as well as winning several seasonal series trophies. She was also awarded the Hughes Shield for the most championship points across all classes, recognising her outstanding performance across the season.

Alexis continues to progress through New Zealand’s youth sailing pathway and has been selected for the Starling Girls Accelerator Squad and the SailGP WASZP Inspire programme, supporting her development toward higher performance sailing. She is now focused on continuing her progression in high-performance classes with the goal of achieving strong results at future WASZP national and international competitions.
